When Pharoah Rameses II first presented the concept of a gigantic stone pyramid to his engineers, they were hardly enthusiastic. Not one of them looked forward to the prospect of spending the rest of their careers watching slaves stack stones on top of each other. The slaves were an unruly lot, and besides-they smelled- those being very pre-deoderant times.

A bright young engineer by the name of Yunghotstuf II suggested the idea of using foam for the pyramids. He explained that the lightweight blocks would skim easily over the sand, and would be easy to hoist up the side of the pyramid as it grew taller. Construction crews were cut in size, leading to a dramatic reduction in building costs.

Soon, these foam pyramids were popping up all over Egypt. And, there they remain, to this day, resistant to the elements of sun and sand, monuments to human ingenuity... and the power of foam.
