FOAM PROPS is a specialty sculpture shop. Instead of sculpting clay or wood, we sculpt foam. Styrofoam. Rigid urethane foam. Polyethylene foam. It all starts with a block of foam. Where it ends depends on the project. In a clay sculpture shop the end product isn't clay. A mold is pulled from the clay sculpture and the final sculpture can be bronze or fiberglass. Similarly, many of FOAM PROPS sculptures start as foam, but finish as something else, like fiberglass or urethane plastic.
		In a wood sculpture shop the end product is wood, but it is usually coated with something to seal the porous surface and protect it from dirt and dents. Similiarly, we can coat our foam sculptures with a hard plastic skin. The decision whether to mold or coat has to do with budget and how much use and abuse the sculpture will receive. FOAM PROPS is also a problem solving shop. We love experimenting with new materials and techniques. And we can turnaround projects in a fraction of the time of other sculpture shops!
